Hair that kinks, coils, curls, waves, and tells a story reflecting their culture, race, ethnicity, and upbringing. Like our customers, hair comes in all shades, textures and shapes unique to each individual and here at Mixed Chicks we want to celebrate that to the utmost extent. Meet our exquisite Mixed Chicks women, men, and children who exhibit beauty from the root and give us honest, bold stories that we are honored to share with you.

What has your experience been with the Mixed Chicks products?

My experience with the Mixed Chicks products has always been great. People like me who has dry curly hair, we                tend to apply multiple products but with Mixed Chicks you can                      achieve great results with only one product.

What makes them different than other hair/beauty products you tried in the past?

What makes Mixed Chicks different from other hair products that I have tried before is that you get the moisture, the control and the shine that you need EVERYTIME.

Do you have a go-to or token Mixed Chick Product you cannot go without?

My go to/ holy grail Mixed Chicks product that I have to have is the Mixed Chicks Leave In Conditioner which is always an empty bottle at my home at all times.

How has having a product specifically for your biracial/ethnic/multiracial background impacted your beauty regime?

Having a product that is specifically made for my ethnic hair is amazing since not too long ago, you couldn’t find products that specify on hair of texture. The products in the market were                    products that you would use to straighten the hair or change your natural hair’s pattern instead of making what you already have beautiful and more defined.

How do your curls/hair texture represent your cultural/ethnic background?

The way that my curls represent my ethnic background is in the way that people see me when my hair is all down and curly. They automatically start throwing different ethnic backgrounds for        me to state which one I am which is really fun to be honest and it makes me very proud to be a Cape Verdean and know that I came from an ethnic group that originated from different cultures        coming into one.

What is one feature of the Mixed Chicks brand that empowers your hair/beauty care?

One feature of the Mixed Chicks curly hair product that impacts my beauty or my hair is the incorporation of ETHNICITY right on the bottle stating that whether you are white, black, Latin               and even Mediterranean you can have beautiful hair in which shows that whatever your background might be , we all can have different textures of hair that we can all make it beautiful.

If you could define Your Hair Story in one word what would it be?

Describing my hair’s story in one word would be, unexpected.

Why is the hair revolution celebrating natural/healthy hair types vital for our generation?

A hair revolution celebrating natural hair types is very vital for my generation because now a lot of us are accepting our natural hair which can be introduced to the new generation coming up           so they will not have to go through what we went through but they can love their hair from childhood and see it for what it is and grow up taking care of the hair they were born with.

If your ‘Mixed Chick’ story were a song, what would it be?

If my mixed chick story had a song it would probably be something about my hair’s crush.

Do you have any go-to beauty/hair bloggers or vloggers who inspire or help your hairstyles?

My go to beauty person or blogger would be the glamtwinz334 on YouTube. They inspired me to create my own channel which is now CurlsBeauty and teach people that their hair is beautiful          and they do have choices when it has to do with their diversity. I make different curly hair routines on my channel to help someone out there who are having problems with their textures to see        that there is a routine for them out there, it is just a matter of finding it.
