Like our customers, hair comes in all shades, textures and shapes unique to each individual and here at Mixed Chicks we want to celebrate that to the utmost extent. Meet our exquisite Mixed Chicks women, men, and children who exhibit beauty from the root and give us honest, bold stories that we are honored to share with you.
What has your experience been with the Mixed Chicks products?
I’ve had a good experience with Mixed Chicks products. I use them on my curly hair & my straight hair. They do as they say.
What makes them different than other hair/beauty products you’ve tried in the past?
I feel Mixed Chicks caters to biracial/multiracial people while others don’t. You don’t have to have one type of hair texture to use the products.
Do you have a go-to or token Mixed Chicks product you cannot go without?
I love the Deep conditioner, sulfate free shampoo & of course, the makeup!
How has having a product specifically for your biracial/ethnic/multicultural background impacted your beauty regime?
It has impacted my hair in a good way. Although I naturally have straight hair, it’s not like everyone else’s hair. It has different textures.
How do your curls/hair texture represent your cultural/ethnic background?
My hair represents me being part Native American & part Caucasian. I have mixed textures.
What is one feature of the Mixed Chicks brand that empowers your hair/beauty care?
I feel like Mixed Chicks brand was specially blended for me & my hair texture/skin tone. There aren’t many brands that are made especially for multiracial people.
If you could define Your Hair Story in one word, what would it be?
Why is the hair revolution celebrating natural/healthy hair types vital for our generation?
Besides me perming my hair, I’ve been natural all of my life. I refuse to dye it because I love the mixture of colors my hair naturally has. I think it’s very vital to be natural because there is too many fakes out there. Just be yourself.
If your Mixed Chick story were a song, what would it be?
Do you have any go-to beauty/hair bloggers or vloggers who inspire or help your hairstyles?
I love Taren Guy. Even though my hair is nowhere like hers, I really enjoy watching her videos. I also like to watch Dickey (Hair Rules Salon) too. I just like to be educated about hair. Whatever the texture.
