What does being mixed mean to you in 2017?
In 2017 being mixed means more now than ever. With all the unsettled tension between
races and cultures it just motivates me more to speak out for both hispanics and african
americans.
Who inspires your beauty routine?
I don’t think one single person inspires my beauty routine. I’m a big YouTube fan and
Instagram fan. I follow and subscribe to many beautiful ladies who motivate and inspire
my looks.
Why is your go- to product mixed chicks?
Mixed Chicks is my go-to product because it was one of the first products I tried when i
decided to go natural. Mixed Chicks was the only product that worked and defined my
curls and I have not found a better product yet.
How does your curl texture represent your culture?
My curl texture represents my culture because to me it is an exact medium from my
parents. My mom is Salvadorian with soft waves and my dad is African American with a
kinky texture. When you mix those yo get my texture curl a tighter wave.
What is one feature of the Mixed Chicks brand that empowers your hair/beauty?
In my opinion the best feature of the Mixed Chicks brand is its name. I remember my
mom struggling to tame my hair and we were in the beauty supply and she said “Mixed
Chicks that’s you, a mixed chick” and she was so happy to try this product even after
trying plenty of products before but she was certain it would work.
What haircare trend are you excited to try this fall?
This Fall I’m really interested in trying different oils. There’s is a lot of talk of different oils
that helps curly hair and form a tighter curl.
What is your go-to Fall hairstyle?
For me when I’m styling my hair, my go-to Fall hairstyle is to pull up on side of my hair. It
makes my face look skinnier and adds a little pizazz.
Do you have a go-to beauty bloggers/ vloggers that inspire you?
Some specific vloggers that inspire me is Bri Hall (@brihallofficial) and @goldennn_xo,
and @ackieaina
Which platform is your go-to outlet for hair advice?
For hair advice I definitely go to Youtube. YouTube ive bloggers a chance to further
explain their hair products and routines.
What have been your favorite new product from Mixed Chicks this year?
The new product that I love the most is the Curl Sculptor. The Curl Sculptor is lighter
then the leave-in conditioner but still defines my hair without being too crunchy.
