- Brazil Nut Oil is nourishing and hydrating for skin and hair. It has a light texture and absorbs well. It lubricates and moisturizes, having natural antioxidant and emollient properties. It also has detergent properties that help stabilize and clean hair, restoring shine and manageability.
- Prickly pear seed oil contains linoleic acid and zinc. It’s extracted by cold pressing the edible prickly pear plant, which is a good source of important minerals like calcium, iron, manganese, magnesium, potassium, and phosphorus, along with antioxidants.
- Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein protects hair against dryness and increases strength/elasticity. Studies have shown that hydrolyzed wheat protein improves the tensile properties of the hair fibers, particularly as they are drying. It helps maintain hair elasticity by controlling the rate of moisture loss from the hair. This added flexibility improves strength and texture, which reduces breakage and improves overall hair health. Hydrolyzed wheat protein is known to provide a smooth and silky feel, grant improved comb-ability and hydration, and help maintain the hair’s natural structure. I will give it a 4 as I need to learn how/when to use this base coat. I usually just use the shampoo/conditioner/leave in conditioner/hair silk and shine. So I am still trying to figure this one out, but it’s okay.
