    I have reviewed this product in the past and it didn’t work on my little one’s hair so I stopped using it. However, I recently decided to try it again and give it another chance because it keeps coming up as a great product for curly hair kids. I’ve tried a lot of the products marketed for curly hair. I don’t know if I was just being impatient the first time around or what. For the past month or so, I have used the quad pack: Shampoo, conditioner, detangler, and leave-in conditioner. It has worked wonders. I spray it and it really brings her hair back to life after a long night of sleep. It really enhances her natural curl pattern. If you’re like me and you did not get the results you were looking for the first time around, I would say use the product again and see what happens! The best choice that I’ve ever made.

    I’ve only used it once but I feel like it has a nice smell to it and detangled my 2 year old mixed daughters hair. She has fine, but curly hair so I need products that are lightweight and not too thick on her hair. I think this will be a win for us

    This product is a god send. My 1 1/2 year old has a lot of hair already and after sleeping on it all night we use this product when styling her hair daily. It makes it a lot easier to comb out the tangles. It smells good too!

    This is one of the best products I’ve ever used! I’m not a little kid but this works great on my curls! I spritz a little in each section and it moisturizes, defines, detangles, and doesn’t frizz my hair. The smell is fantastic as well.

    Although it does help for the frizz, I found it leaves my daugthers hair really dry after using. I’ve tried with her hair really wet and less. But both times her hair was dry afterwards. The only thing I haven’t tried yet and will is to mix the whole product with water as it is also suggested. Maybe this will work better. For now, I am only using the leave-in conditionner, her hair looks great with that, but I don’t always have time to apply this product.

    I wish they would make a small sample size of this to include in the sample/travel pack. I initially ordered the sample pack to see if I liked the products and I thought the product line was okay, but wasn’t impressed enough to order the full size products. However, it turns out that this de-tangler was the missing link. I finally went ahead and bought the full size when I saw it in a store and it was really the finishing touch for the other products. I plan on buying the full set of kids’ products–shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioner, and de-tangler. I also like the smell of this de-tangler, which is saying a lot, because I cannot tolerate the smells of most scented products. I was skeptical of the smell at first, because I thought it might be a little strong just smelling it in the bottle, but it smells great on my daughter’s hair. I keep sniffing her head. 🙂

    My son has type 3b hair. This product doesn’t detangle his hair at all. I saturated his hair with the product work it in(the tangle tamer created a mild lather that went away eventually). I then combed his hair with a wide tooth comb from the ends to the roots. It was a very painful process because this product provided no slip. I ended up reaching for another detangling product from another curly kids line to detangle his hair. The tangle tamer smells great and leaves his hair soft, but I wanted to use it for detangling. I don’t think I will repurchase this particular product.

    I love that you came out with a line just for the little one’s. My only hope is that you will consider using different words to describe kinky/curly/wavy/natural hair. Terms such as “wild” and “tame” can make young children feel like there is something wrong with their hair. An African woman once told my mixed niece(4 yrs old) that her hair was wild. She has been extremely self-conscious of her afro ever since, but especially around women of color. This is tragic and and easily avoidable. In a world where European beauty aesthetics are the norm, and even women with straight hair are paying big bucks to get their hair even straighter, we must pay attention to language. Our babies should feel okay with not having perfect little “doll curls” all the time. A little frizz is not a sign of unhealthy hair. But you see adds in magazines with before and after photos of women looking exhausted with their wavy manes, accompanied by photos of the same women smiling with bouncy perfect waves or straight shiny locks. What are we teaching the world about beauty? In spite of this, I really love what you are doing and I hope that you continue to put more products/improved formulas out in the future.     I have the enitre line of mixed chicks kids products. I absolutely love the shampoo, conditioner and leave-in! However, the detangler spray never did anything for my daughters hair.It left her hair feeling a little sticky and it looked dry. The smell was also a little too overbearing. From now on, I’ll stick to just spritzing her hair with water and adding leave-in everyday.Too bad I had to waste [$]!

    I use the tangle tamer every day, my little one’s hair tangles so easily. This product is great for helping with the tangles. However, his hair has been extremely dry, even though I am using this along with the leave-in conditioner. Wish there was a hair moisturizer available in this line.

    This product works well to detangle and beautify my daughter’s curls in the morning. I would use it every day, but it has a really strong smell – much to strong for a kids product in my opinion. So we only use it on special occasions.

    I use this on my daughters hair, she is half african american half white. I wish it came in a bigger bottle, because i have to use quite a bit with the amt of hair she has. The only thing i’ve noticed is my daughters hair almost seems dryer since i’ve been using it. (It could have nothing to do with the product) Overall, it makes her hair look great the next morning.

    I also wish this was in a bigger bottle. I use alot of this in the mornings on my bi-racial daughters hair. What I love about it the most is when she gets up in the mornings all I do is spray her hair and shake her hair a little with my hands and the curls fall right in place without having to comb her hair out.

    my daughters hair is vary frizzie and vary long. i used it in her pig tails the morning after i warshed and styled it. it kept frizz down curls together.waiting to see end of day results. just wish it was in a bigger bottle. my daughter has alot of hair and i have to order online because no one carries mixed chicks near me

    The product is okay. My son is bi-racial back/white. I would used the spay but it leaves his hair very sticky and his curls become very hard.

You can use Mixed Chicks TANGLE TAMER in many ways. Here are some ideas:

1. Spray into wet or damp hair, comb through tangles, then style…or even fashion hair into a ponytail. This works great with hair that already has our kids leave-in conditioner worked in.

2. For stubborn tangle-areas: while wet, spray a generous amount into hair along with Mixed Chicks kids conditioner, comb through, then rinse.

3. In a spray bottle, mix 1 part tangle-tamer, 1 part Mixed Chicks kids leave-in conditioner & 5 parts water. Spritz hair and detangle one section at a time.
