A good straight hair routine:
1. shampoo and rinse
2. condition, comb or brush, and rinse
3. apply Mixed Chicks straightening serum to damp hair
4. blow-dry
5. use a flat iron or another styling accessory
6. finish with hair silk for added shine
For thermal protection, follow Mixed Chicks deep conditioner with straightening serum applied to wet hair… for wet sets and blow drying.

Oh My! What can I say? It did everything it said it does. I am a 63 year black woman with natural thinning lack-luster hair. My hair dries quickly and then it frizzes. I usually braid it after rising my conditioned hair to maintain moisture. However, It only feels good but looks very dry. When I used this product my hair was shinier than usual, hydrated and had very little frizz, Lovely Product!

Absolutely amazing! Works so well in the blow drying process, if you were intending the straighten you’re hair, it makes it easier and won’t have to use as much heat. Great product for my hair type hands down!

I have a mixture of 4b/3c/3a hair. I had to learn an all-over regimen to get semi-straight hair. I use Natty Moist(www.nattynatural.com)leave-in conditioner and Mixed Chicks straightening serum first. Then, I add John Frieda or any silicone serum heat protectant for the frizzy parts. If I need a quick straightening method, I use my Conair blow dryer on cold and pull my hair a bit to dry it (moving the dryer up and down the strands). If I have time, I do bantu knots or large braids depending on the look I want to achieve.

I want straight hair so bad!!! I have a teenie-weenie afro, about 1/2 to 2 in. long. Washed my hair, used Mixed Chicks rinse out and leave-in conditioner then used the serum. From the beginning my hair started to curl with the 2 conditioners and then my hair loved the serum because it kept on curling! Rolled my hair, sat under the dryer, took the rollers out and combed. Part of my hair curled, the other part was wavy, and a little bit was straight. I added gel, my hair loved it and continued to curl and wave. My hair didn’t pay any attention to the products! The next time, I’ll couple it with a foam wrap and see how that goes.

I never ever write reviews, but I was truly impressed with this product. It does what is written on the package! As an African-American woman (50+), that has gone from natural to press and curl to relaxer (30yrs) to natural with the occasional blow dry/ flat iron (presently) this product is part of my 7 day straight hair regimen. This product is great not only for straightening your hair, but also as a great heat protectant for curling irons. I use it both while my hair is wet and even while its dry, right before I apply any direct heat on it. When I leave my hair curly I put a little bit in the fronts of my hair, so I can us a curling iron and it definitely helps shield my hair from any heat damage. What I also enjoy about this product is that it helps cut my straigtening time in half, while I’m blowdrying my hair, and even after I flat iron, my hair is still full of body and life!! Definitely a necessary if you use any heating products in your hair.

Hands down…my favorite straightening product! I have been trying to find something to keep my hair straight longer without ruining my curl…this is it! It makes me not even WANT to wear it curly. I didn’t work out for a week, was out in the sun for a whole day for a Father’s Day celebration, and my hair was STILL straight! This NEVER happens…I’ve tried so many things and this is the ONLY one. The only complaint that I have is that it doesn’t seem to moisturize my hair. I can use the shine with it, but that only makes it look shiny instead of creating moisture in my hair.

My husband and I just got stationed in Kansas. I have always lived in humid climates but my hair was in a weave, perm or braids. I have never been completely natural. I am multi-ethnic and when it’s hot outside my hair really shows it. I spent an hour flat ironing my hair and then five minutes outside and my hair curled right back up again.
