Try combining curl sculptor with other Mixed Chicks products. Here is a good routine for curly and wavy hair:
1. shampoo (sulfate-free or original by Mixed Chicks) and rinse
2. condition with Mixed Chicks deep conditioner, comb or brush, and rinse
3. apply Mixed Chicks curl sculptor to wet hair
4. air dry
5. finish with hair silk for added shine
For added oil, try a few drops of Mixed Chicks replenishing oil while hair is wet. Experiment a bit, as every person has unique needs.

I am “mixed” with Puerto Rican, Philippine, and Spaniard. My hair is long wavy-curly. I truly have tried all brands of hair products that would keep my curls from being frizzy, or just flat. Nothing truly worked – the one product here and there but not all day, eventually my hair would frizz and or go flat. When I found Curl Sculptor I couldn’t believe it. I usually never write reviews but this product deserves it! It controls my hair from freezing even if it rains. I found it by accident and now I am addicted to it. I’ve been using this gel for a few days now and I love it. I have very thick, coarse curly hair and I have to use a gel for diffusing. The gel adds shine without volume, which I don’t need. It tames my curls and holds throughout the day. There’s a little bit of crunch but I don’t mind it at all because my hair is still soft and manageable. The smell is fresh without being overpowering. I think the product would work better in a pump as it does come out very fast and runny. But a little goes a long way. I hope they don’t discontinue this product. I’ve tried dozens and it’s my favorite so far.

I picked up this product on a whim. I needed to spend a certain $ for a promo. I must have picked up so many others, I’ve tried before. Finally, end up with the Curl Sculptor and the Daily Moisturizer. I was blown away by my results. My brush went through my hair like melted butter. The softness, the definition, the movement, the moisture, the shine, not an OUNCE of frizzy; especially at my damaged ends, my hair is light as a cotton. The biggest PLUS, the best first-day elongation.
