    I have 3c/4a low porosity curls, and this product did nothing for my hair. There was zero definition to my curls, and although the gel was light enough, the smell is why I really gave such a low rating. The smell is unbearable!!! It’s EXTREMELY potent with a eucalyptus and heavy mens cologne smell. The smell was so strong it triggered a migraine and I had to rewash my hair and start over. If you are sensitive to smells, you might want to pass this product.

    I have not been a curly girl my whole life, but somewhere in my adulthood I had a change. I’m a white woman and started with Mixed Chick’s, but tried a major competitor for a few years because at the time they offered more styling products. I came back to Mixed Chick’s because I loved my hair with the shampoo and conditioner and was thrilled to find they had many styling products. The gel gives my hair great definition without leaving it crunchy. I would recommend these products to al people with curly hair, I already purchased products for my 1st grandchild due in June, who is mixed. Can’t wait to use the child’s line on my grandchild whom the sex will be a surprise!

    I would love to give this 5 stars but it smells like I drenched my hair in my grandpa’s after shave. A very strong musky men’s scent.???????????????????? This would be a great smell for the men’s collection. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CHANGE THE SCENT OF THE THIS.

    This gel has a slick texture so it’s easy to distribute through my hair. I have very thin curls and when I use this it makes my hair feel thick and full and adds the perfect amount of volume. I typically can’t let my hair air dry because it dries flat to my head. This stuff is amazing. I can put leave in conditioner in, scrunch some of this gel and let it air dry. Couple of hours later it’s perfect, frizz free, full beautiful curls. I’m only going to buy one bottle at a time with hopes that they change the scent very soon. ????
