I have wavy hair that I have been coloring and flat ironing regularly for the past couple of years. Although my hair is pretty strong I finally went too far when I bleached it twice in 48 hours. My hair was utterly destroyed, weak and super dry. I had to use protein treatments to strengthen which only made it more dry. I have tried over a dozen different conditioners and all of them failed to provide any real moisture. I used this deep conditioner as a rinse out after shampooing my hair. I applied it liberally and combed through well. My comb slipped easily through my hair. I literally could not believe how amazing my hair felt. I kept rinsing and rinsing thinking I was just having trouble getting it all out. My hair felt so incredibly silky and I was delighted when I realized that I had rinsed it all out, it just actually made my hair feel that good. Thank you so much for this product. My hair is finally back on track. And I’m even able to wear my hair wavy/curly. It looks beautiful.

I thought I’d be blown away by this product but I wasn’t. It smells awesome and has a thick consistency in the jar but turns light when it hit the hair. I kept it on for about 2 hours and it rinsed out pretty clean but after air drying my naturally kinky hair, I wasn’t impressed. I thought I’d get some kind of mini transformation but I didn’t. To be fair I only used it once and my natural hair is a bit damaged from being choked and roughed up by sew-in weaves. I’m going to co-wash with it until the jar is gone and maybe by then I will see what benefits, if any, it has. I think it probably works best for bi-racial folks and those who have “good hair”, not so much for straight up black folk with kinky hair (no offense to anyone) :-) Because of the price I wouldn’t recommend it to those with kinky hair as I haven’t seen what it can do, but I would recommend it to those with curly or wavy hair. Maybe it can be beneficial to those with relaxed hair or curly perms.

I use this product every 2-3 days. I apply after rinsing the gentle shampoo and comb through with a wide tooth comb and rinse. After the first application, I could already feel a difference in my hair. It felt softer and lighter. I also follow with the leave in conditioner. Cannot believe how well this works! I never thought I’d ever find a product I wasn’t just settling for. No complaints.

I love this product! I’ve been a faithful user for 3 years. The first thing I do when I get in the shower is wet my hair, massage one pump of the deep conditioner in my hair and comb it out with a wide-tooth comb (I lose very little hair that way). Then I put it up in a loose bun and perform the rest of my hygiene routine. Just before I get out of the shower I rinse some of it out then put it back in a bun. I find that the leftover deep conditioner along with the addition of the leave in conditioner gives me soft, shiney, defined curls that are oh so touchable and smell amazing. My hair looks clean and healthy everyday. Thank you Mixed Chicks for improving my crown and glory.

I found out about this product from a curly Nikki forum. I have tried DevaCurl and didn’t like the way it made my hair feel afterwards, dry. I then decided to try mixed chicks and I fell in love! I love this product, it eliminated my frizz and thats what I’ve been searching for. I do wish it was a more natural product like DevaCurl but this product works and I will continue to purchase this conditioner. I use it as a deep conditioner and a leave in conditioner. I didn’t like the regular leave in conditioner, it didn’t feel as good as the deep conditioner. A little goes a long way but I don’t like the container that it is in, they should change it like the larger containers. I’m biracial and I have fine curly hair with frizz, it eliminated the frizz, smells great and soften my hair!

I have been looking for a deep conditioner that would help smooth out my course hair. On the top, side-fronts and the back, my hair is smooth and beautiful, but in the middle my hair is very course and dry, dry, dry. This conditioner is God sent. When I do a deep condition, I still warm up some olive oil and mix it with the conditioner, but for every day, I just use it straight out of the container. I love it and will never change again. My search is over. By the way, I have what is considered 3b, 3c, 4a hair.

My some days spirals, some days frizz, some days flat on top, some days needing extra love, some days wavy, some days straight, some days a little of all the above, some days matted underneath, some days silky gorgeous hair has tried everything from high end oils, to fats, to mixtures of products, to vitamins, to you name it to find the right mix of care for my mixed hair. When I thought I found a decent combination, sure enough, I’d go through tons of product at a fortune and/or have to deal with ineffective reformulations and/or spend way to much time for a low maintenance gal who likes high maintenance looks. Mixed Chicks is clearly the answer to my prayers (yes, prayers). When I saw how little the Mixed Chicks sizes are, I was skeptical because it bothers me when people or product labels profess that a little product goes a long way, when it doesn’t–at all. I was shocked to find a small bit of Mixed Chicks going an extremely long way on my Mediterranean (Greek) and Latin (Mexican) crazy good, crazy long, and crazy textured hair. It is an amazing protector, sealer, and detangler! I haven’t layered my hair in ages and decided to try the leave in conditioner as well to see what it would do for my curls. Amazing. Even the faintest top pieces and longest heavier layers have come to life with beautiful curls that aren’t dry, greasy, heavy…etc. even without a proper haircut to show of its potential! I truly love this product; it is worth every penny. I am so relieved to not have to stress over taking forever to coif my hair just to keep it healthy, work out the knots, and get rich classic looks in no time. Thank you Mixed Chicks!
