    This products detangles very well. Works better than carols daughters monoi hair mask. I left the chicks deep conditioner in my hair for two hours under a thermal non- cordless cap. Rinse out and air dried. Less expensive than carols daughter products. Will be using this product from now on. Less breakage in my comb.

    This deep conditioner delivers! Adds intense hydration and moisture to dry and thirsty curls! I have a thick head of curls on my scalp that tend to be dry more of the time. After I shampoo my scalp with the Mixed Chicks Sulfate Free Shampoo, I take some of this hair treatment and massage it throughout my scalp and throughout the lengths of my hair, focusing on the parts that tend to be dryer. It is not lightweight but not very heavy. It does not have silicones- yay! And it is enriched with Safflower seed oil. After it is applied throughout my whole scalp, I take my wide tooth comb and begin to detangle my hair. I get many knots and tangles when I am detangling my curls, as you can imagine with thick hair, but this time it was a bit easier, and I think it is because of this deep conditioner. After my hair is fully detangled, I rinse the product out. My curls were very bouncy! They were really hydrated and felt very soft! The smell is very pleasant too. To wrap things up, this is the product for you if you have dry thick waves, curls, or coils!

    I started using Mixed Chicks last October but wanted to wait a while to write a review to see if I got consistent result. The answer: absolutely! After 40 years of trying, in frustration, I finally found the product that transforms my dry, wavy/curly, frizzy hair (I’m Caucasian) into soft shiny locks. Truly beautiful and liberating! I have mid-length hair and only need to use about 3/4-1 tablespoon of product per wash. I used to have to “condition” my hair every 2 days to keep it looking acceptable (frizz and dullness returned) but now I can allow my hair to go 4-5 days which is much healthier for my scalp and hair. Swear, it still looks great on wash day! You owe it to yourself to try this product, it really delivers!

    This product is by far the best I’ve come across for my natural locks!! I always thought my hair in it’s natural state with body and shine was an oxymoron! Mixed chicks has made my dreams of wearing my hair natural come true! I can actually say my hair is beautiful without all the blow drying and straightening which strips the hair of REAL beauty. The only con I may have about it, is having to wash my hair more often than I’d like. I would only like to wash it once a week, but have found myself washing it twice a week. Having said that, my hair has still remained pretty healthy because this product helps to lock moisture in. With the leave-in conditioner, I can wash and go because it aids in quick drying, which in turn keeps me from using the blow dryer too often.

    I’m not mixed, but have very thick, curly hair (sicilian). For years I’ve tried hair products for frizzy/curly hair regardless of who is it marketed towards (from frizz Ease to Ultra Sheen).     I have been trying to find minimalist products that would detangle my daughter’s hair and wouldn’t leave it tangled at the roots and dry. I don’t want to have to shampoo and condition then use a detangling spray. I use the deep conditioner on my daughter who is African American, has very thick dry mid back length hair. The deep conditioner is easy to use and a little goes a long way. I part her hair into sections, spray with water and apply the conditioner. Comb through and twist up, let it sit on the hair for 30 minutes w/processing cap then rinse. I have been deep conditioning her hair every week then wash with shampoo once a month and it has given me a NEW JOY to do her hair where this once was a frustrating task for me and her. The price is reasonable and one of the best conditioners I have tried. It leaves my daughter’s hair soft and manageable. The name can be deceiving but this is a really GREAT product. I have experimented with other pricier brands as well.

    This is a miracle in a jar!! I have used ridiculous amounts of deep conditioners in the past, and although some may have seemed to do the job at the time, as soon as I would get out the shower my hair still felt dry. I’ve been using this for about two months now, and am convinced that it brought my hair back to life. I use it right after cleansing with the shampoo, leave it in for 2-4 minutes (somtimes more if I’m taking a bath) and as soon as I wash it off I can feel the results. My favorite part is that it doesnt give you the “Fake” softness I’ve had before with other products. The moisture it has provided my hair with has even helped my hair grow in the past two months more than it has in the last two years!! I can’t seem to stop raving about it to everyone I meet.
