Definition & frizz control for curly/wavy:
1. apply leave-in conditioner to wet hair, scrunch
2. wring hair out with fingers
3. air dry, or if you are in a hurry, sit under a hooded dryer or use a diffuser (no towel or blow-dry needed)
An easy routine for straight:
1. shampoo and rinse
2. condition, comb or brush, and rinse
3. apply Mixed Chicks straightening serum or a little leave-in to damp hair
4. blow-dry
5. use a flat iron or another styling accessory
6. finish with hair silk for added shine
USE THIS TO: TAME FRIZZ and DEFINE CURLS on many hair textures & weaves (synthetic or human).
SALON PROFESSIONAL SECRET: while it is best to air dry with this product, some people like a diffused blow dryer on low heat for added volume.
Some like to do a two-strand twist with leave-in, on wet hair, then air dry for a great look!

This product works GREAT for my hair. I have type 3B curly, thin hair, and applying this after my shower and scrunching gave me tons of volume while leaving my hair feeling completely soft & natural. (Looks like I have no product in my hair) For those of you who talk about unwanted “crunchy curls”…you are clearly using TOO much product. It took very little product to achieve beautiful results.

I adopted a biracial daughter and knew nothing about ethnic hair. I saw an ad in a parenting magazine for Mixed Chicks and decided to try it. Everything I have tried for her hair left her curls dry and frizzy or so icky that it collected dust and dirt. The product is great! I use the shampoo, deep conditioner and leave in conditioner. My hair is very thick, frizzy, and poofy. All my life I’ve struggled to tame it and find anything that works and makes me happy. And this product absolutley tames all of those features! I’m a white female and yet it works on me too, I was very shocked! The price is much cheaper than going to a salon, and buying multiple products. Routine: 1)slightly dry shower wet hair with towel 2)Brush hair 3)scrunch product into hair 4)blow dry It’s very simple, much less time consuming then most hair styles. It compliments my already natural curls and makes them only more beautiful and defined. I bought this for my daughters who are hispanic/black. My oldest daughter whos 11 was starting to get teased about her hair because it would frizz. I LOVE this product and so does she. It really controls the frizz and gives moisture so her hair isnt dry. Ive tried so many products and sometimes have had hope but it would fade because it seemed as if the product would stop working. I’m actually a male who uses this product. I’m African American and Native American and have curly hair. The curls look really good when they are wet (after showering) but as they dry, they tend to get frizzy and more un-ruly. I’ve tried so many products over the years that made my hair either too greasy, too stiff, or just didnt define the curls. I finally found this product and it works great. I use it after showering or washing my hair and it keeps my hair looking just like it did when it was wet all day long. It’s not greasy, not stiff. It’s perfect. I also like the fact that it doesn’t have any odor at all. I would highly recommend this to people who have hair that’s similar to my own.

I use this product on my little girl. She is two and has the best hair of any little girl in town – all thanks to mixed chicks! I am white and my husband is black. My daughter has very soft but very curly hair. All I do to get her ready to go for the day is spritz her hair with mixed chick leave in conditioner and water (I use a spray bottle and mix about 1/2 and 1/2 for light hold or 2/3 leave in conditioner and 1/3 water for a heavier hold), and she is ready for the day! If she has had a hard day at play (which most 2 year olds do), I just re-spritz and we are ready to go! I looked for a long time for a product that would work on her hair without damaging it or drying it out. This product turns her frizzy curls into soft, shiny, well defined, beautiful curls! This is the best product and worth the price! I use the shampoo, deep conditioner and leave in conditioner on my daughter.

I have wavy hair whether relaxed or natural. I can pretty much easily straighten my hair or wear it curly if I wanted. I always use to wear my hair straight because I hated the hassel of finding a product for my hair that didnt work for my curls. I have used many products over the years, mainly those that dried my hair and didnt keep my curls lasting. I didnt hear about mixed chicks until I walked into a beauty supply store, and there it was. I was skeptical, so I opted for the trial version instead. Well, first of all it is the easiest product I have ever used. Just wash, deep condition, and style; cant get any easier than that. It usually takes me 4-5 hrs when straightening my hair, but with mixed chicks it only takes an hour so thats a plus!! The thing I like most about the product is that it has really improved my curls the more I use it. I wish I had a photo to upload because I get so many complimets about how beautiful my curls look. I honestly feel great about having a product that I can use when I wanna go curly instead of straight! Overall, A+ product!! Thanks ladies for a great product!!

This product I purchased for my 7 year old daughter. Her hair is red, extremely extremely curly and there’s lots of it. She has a sensitive head and her hair tangles easily….Before “Mixed Chix” I was using at least 5 products in my poor young daughters hair, to not only detangle it each day but to also manage it so it did not look like a huge birds nest fro. I took a chance on this new product and we love it! Our tangle time is so so much easier, the pain is minimal if any and my daughter actually doesn’t mind having her hair brushed now. Her curls stay in tact all day and even into the next day as well, With vibrance and smooth shine. I love that I am using only 1 product now instead of 5. It’s not that I dont want to spread the word, many people’s decision to purchase a product or not is usally not based on the opinions of a person that they don’t know but its my time to SPEAK UP! NEVER NEVER NEVER have I used a product with results that were noticeable the moment the product touched my hair! i have known about Mixed Chicks for a while now and I will admit I thought it was like every other product claiming to maintain the wildness my mane but this BY FAR is THE ONE yall!!! I have been using Mixed Chicks Leave-in for 2 years. It is absolutely the best product out there for curly hair. I apply the Leave-in to my hair while it is dripping wet out of the shower…towel drying even a little bit keeps the product from been applied as evenly. After I apply and comb through to the ends, I don’t do anything else except let it air dry. After it dries it’s a bit stringy and crunchy…but I scrunch it out with my hands and it’s perfect every time! I swear by this product and tell anyone about it and share my samples every time I order. I actually use the liter bottles because they are the best value.

I have argued with my curly hair for my entire life. I’ve had no objection to wearing it curly, but since it’s very dry, I can’t wash it every day so the curl fell out. Using MC has been a total change–the curls are not frizzy, and although there appears to be no product on the hair, the curl stays for days with morning freshen-ups. I’m sold. I pat my hair dry with a towel, and then use the leave-in conditioner right away. My hair is thick, so I separate sections to fully cover all of the hair. If any hair is left out, you can really see a difference, because those sections will be fly-away and dry looking, while the hair treated with Mixed Chicks looks soft and shiny and has a better curl. After my hair air drys, I finger-comb thru and fluff it up. While the conditioner initially dries a little stiff, once you pull out your curls and style, the conditioner immediately becomes so SOFT and feels wonderful!!!! On days that I do not want to wash, I rinse or spritz my hair wet and then apply a small amount of product to freshen the curls. WONDERFUL product – the best EVER for moisturizing and enhancing curls, and making curly hair manageable! And the manageability gets even better after you have used Mixed Chicks for a few months!

I’m a young black woman, who happens to have grandparents who are very diverse so I was left with a lot of curly hair. I live in Atlanta where it’s super hot and humid my hair usually ends up being a curly/fluffy mess unless I use mousse or gel which leave my hair hard and crunchy. This product is a God send!
