Definition & frizz control for curly/wavy:
1. apply leave-in conditioner to wet hair, scrunch
2. wring hair out with fingers
3. air dry, or if you are in a hurry, sit under a hooded dryer or use a diffuser (no towel or blow-dry needed)
An easy routine for straight:
1. shampoo and rinse
2. condition, comb or brush, and rinse
3. apply Mixed Chicks straightening serum or a little leave-in to damp hair
4. blow-dry
5. use a flat iron or another styling accessory
6. finish with hair silk for added shine
USE THIS TO: TAME FRIZZ and DEFINE CURLS on many hair textures & weaves (synthetic or human).
SALON PROFESSIONAL SECRET: while it is best to air dry with this product, some people like a diffused blow dryer on low heat for added volume.

I am a 48 yr old mixed race woman. My mother and I have battled with my hair my entire life. A few years ago a woman suggested I try this. I’ve been hooked ever since! I’ve been out of it for about 3 months and my hair is a hot tumbleweed mess!! So…here I am once again…after trying everything known to man that’s available locally…Mixed Chicks leave-in is the ONLY thing that works whether I’m going curly or straight. If straight, it’s the best protectant from weather and humidity. I can not say enough!

I am in LOVE with Mixed Chicks! This is my second time trying it. The first time i bought it and took it back…but I learned that I actually didn’t use enough. So i decided to buy it again and use a lot more and it works PERFECTLY for my hair! I applied it to my hair on top of a small amount of a regular conditioner to avoid any “crunch”, and raked it through just like you rake gel in your hair…and it is airdrying beautifully at this moment..but i can already tell that I am in love with it and am planning on buying the whole set in hte liter sizes bc my hair is pretty thick and curly…so i need a LOT! This stuff is awesome! I smell rich! Lol!

It’s nice I love the smell I mixed black and which and I have thick hair and I have to end up used way too much product just for it to “blow up” like it usually does. It’s really nothing amazing like I’ve read in reviews. I have to wait for it to dry and and then when it dries I’m lucky if they even look alright. I would not recommend this in relation to the amount you might have to use

I have tried a lot of products to help tame my curls over the years. The best thing that has ever happened to my curls, I can honestly say is Mixed Chicks. I use this product on both wet and dry hair to style my curls with. It never disappoints! I just want to also mention that this product is designed for individuals with curls of all types and textures. It really has won me over. And, I don’t ever want to be without it! All I can really say is BUY IT! BUY IT! BUY IT! You won’t regret it.

I have very curly hair but over the years have taught myself how to tame it. I decided to try this line expecting to see results I had never seen before and looking to achieve consistency in styling because it seems to need a day or two after shampooing to really get nice non frizzy curls. This line really did not provide that for me. Its not a bad line but I have come to the conclusion curly hair is more about the handleing and styling technique and less about the product. So while I would reccomend it just for the fact that it seems like a quality product, I do not feel like it works miracles. The fact that I cannot find it in stores also means I am less likely to buy it in the future.

I am a 43 year old caucasian lady, who has been using the Mixed Chicks Leave-In Conditioner for years now to get my natural frizzy curly hair to form into beautiful springy curls. This product is a miracle! Love it!! Will continue to use everyday!!!! I just need a bit of advice. The older I am getting I am finding hair loss on top of my scalp. My hair at my roots are no longer holding a curl. So I am having flat head with spotting of my scalp. My hair length is to my shoulder with a few layers cut in. I’ve been trying to use hair thickener with the Mixed Chicks product, blow drying my hair upside down, teasing the roots, etc. so far I have not achieved a full scalp/roots solution for my curls. Anybody that can help please advise! Thank you!

I used the product after using the shampoo and deep conditioner. I left the product in and my hair still had bounce and shine, it was frizz free and smelled great. This is the first product that I have used that actually helps detangle my daughter’s hair. She is 5 and not very patient! It slicks it up enough to get a comb through but doesn’t clog the comb or leave her hair greasy or hard. absolutely amazing.

I’ll admit that I was a bit hesitant in this product after reading some of the reviews, but after using it for the past two months I can’t help but disagree with anyone who wasn’t a fan. To start off with I am Armenian with a bit of Greek, so my hair is very thick and curly with a whole bunch of friz. This leave in conditioner has literally changed my life. I hadn’t worn my hair down naturally curly since grade school, up until this beauty came into my life. As far as its usage goes, I would have to say that a little goes a long way. My hair (now thanks to Mixed chicks products) has grown to the middle of my back, and I only use about a quarter each time after I shower. I do use it while my hair is still wet, however its amazing to use while your hair dries as well to bring some softness, and tame your curls. By far my favorite aspect of this product has to be how lightweight it is. It does not weigh my hair down at all, nor does it make me feel as if I have a ton of product in it. I even use it when I plan on wearing my hair straight, as it helps with the straightening process by getting rid of my tangles!! In short, everyone needs this!

Being Barbadian and Irish, my heritage is all mixed up. My mom, being Afro-Caribbean, always used to straighten my hair when i was younger, and when i turned thirteen i found out my hair was curly. So i started using mousse and gel which damaged my hair severely, and i had to cut it short. After finding mixed chicks my hair is healthier than its ever been. I apply the leave-in in sections after i get out of the shower and let my hair air dry. My 3b-3c once crinkly curls are now bouncy ringlets. Being a teenager, not many girls rock their curly hair, but i love my hair now and i hardly ever straighten it. and when i do straighten it, i miss my curls. I get compliments all the time now on my curls and I have Mixed Chicks to thank for that.

I just ordered the Mixed chicks product but when I use the leave in conditioner it ends up making my hair hard instead of soft and bouncy. I’m either using to much or it just doesn’t work. The other products work really well. I just want my curls to last the whole day.

I’m not your typical “mixed chick”, my father is mixed, Puerto Rican, African American, and Native American. Although he is of that combination I still received the long, yet manageable tight curled hair texture. Somehow, I came across Mixed Chicks and started off with a sample and then on to buying a whole bottle of leave-in conditioner, and surprisingly, it worked perfectly on my hair. No residue and no damage left behind. I was very satisfied with the outcome. I guess that proved that these products are suitable for anyone, but especially me.

I needed a leave-in on wash-day I didn’t have any so I went to the my local beauty supply store and I remember all these leave-in, but none for my 4c type of hair(very koily)& the clerk suggested “Mixed Chick” but it was almost $20 and I didn’t know how this would effect my hair and didn’t want to spend that much on a non-known product. He advised me that he has samples also, I purchased the Leave-in & Kiddie Leave-in. I used as the leave-in after my wash and then styled my hair with my Shea butter mixed & gel and my twist-out was awesome…I definitely like this product. I even added it to my DIY Shea Butter Mix…lol!

I use this product on my hair every day. Once I was turned on to this product after trying many others I have continuously used this on my son’s hair every day for 4 years!!!! After he gets out of the shower I put a dime size amount in my hand and I grab his hair like in a pony tail(it’s really long) and work it through , twisting the hair as I work it through. Then I let the hair fall and it is gorgeous. We get asked all the time what we use in his hair and we always send them to Mixed Chicks!!!

I am not directly mixed, but as we all do I have mixed lineage a few generations back and in general as well (none of us is pure anything). I am a natural (Last relaxer April 2012, BC Oct 2012) African American woman with thick and dense extremely defined 3C hair all over. Except the very bottom back & sides of my head is tighter 4a sized curls but extremely defined as well. My hair is naturally soft (I get it from my mom and grandmothers on both sides) so I hadn’t been able to find anything that I could use for a wash an go that would be light enough to define my hair without either shrinking & crunching them a lot once dry or causing them to separate and frizz up while styling on wet hair. I have to use styling butters and creams to do twist-outs. They come out lovely but they do tend to make my curls appear smaller than they really are. Mixed Chicks is the first product I have found that I am able to simply apply in medium sections at a time, diffuse a little and let air dry (not touching my hair AT ALL). There is a little shrinking but not too much, my hair is a tiny bit crunchy but not enough to annoy me. How I prepared for MC’s leave in: Overnight I prepooed with coconut oil, sectioned and saturated my entire head, two-strand twisted my hair, covered with a plastic cap then my satin scarf. I washed out the coconut oil with Carol’s Daughter Hair Milk Cowashing Conditioner and conditioned with their Smoothing Conditioner. After rinsing out the conditioner I then applied a home mixed mixture of oils to soaking wet hair to seal in moisture (Olive, Jojoba, Grape Seed, Avocado, Sweet Almond, and Castor) and then followed up by applying Mixed Chicks in medium sections and somewhat all over. I am at work now and getting complements from coworkers who are use to seeing me with my twist outs (which they love as well) but they seem to prefer my natural curls on display. I can’t wait to see what my hair will look like with this product as it gets longer. Would I recommend to others? I would say yes, BUT this product is certainly not for every hair texture/curl type. It may work fine for ladies with much tighter curls if they use it to do their twist outs, but as an all over leave in conditioner to define your curls it is not really formulated for that type of curl pattern, regardless of how it may be marketed. Before I began to wear my curls out I tried this product with the MC’s shampoo on a friend’s hair. She has curls in all 3 subcategories of the type 4 category and it did nothing for her hair. So yes it will help alleviate a lot of your frizz (if it is not due to damage) but it will only define the curls you have, not give you curls. If you have big curls it will define them, medium it will define them and if you have tiny curls so tiny your hair looks like a cloud, it will still look like a cloud after this product. I would say the looser your curls the better this product is suited for your hair.

I have very curly hair (as is typical with a mixed chick) that dries out and is crazy frizzy with the humidity in Hawaii. I use the leave-in conditioner daily and LOVE LOVE the product. I get the best refined curls and my hair actually looks moisturized. I usually combine with the hair silk serum for the shiny look (works great too)! I have tried numerous products and Mixed Chicks by far beats all the others out.

My hair is a lot like Wendy Levy’s as far as curl and texture go. That is what originally caught my attention. I saw an ad in a magazine and thought “That is what I want my hair to look like.” I use this product after using the gentle shampoo and deep conditioner. I watched the video of how Wendy used the leave-in-conditioner and follow her directions. My hair is soft and feels so much lighter. I don’t have to wet my hair everyday anymore. I usually go 2-3 days before I need to get it wet. I never thought my hair could look so good! Before I was using a lot of mousse or gel and it doesn’t compare to what it looks like now. Will never use anything else.
