Frizz control and definition for curly/wavy:
1. apply leave-in conditioner to wet hair, scrunch
2. wring hair out with fingers
3. air dry, or if you are in a hurry, sit under a hooded dryer or use a diffuser (no towel or blow-dry needed)
An easy routine for straight hair:
1. shampoo and rinse
2. condition, comb or brush, and rinse
3. apply Mixed Chicks straightening serum or leave-in to damp hair
4. blow-dry
5. use a flat iron or another styling accessory
6. finish with hair silk for added shine
SALON PROFESSIONAL SECRET: while it is best to air dry with this product, some people like a diffused blow dryer on low heat for added volume.
Some like to do a two-strand twist with leave-in, on wet hair, then air dry for a great look!

I bought this to use on my 8 year old daughter who is mixed Hispanic & Black and it worked wonders. I wet her hair every morning then work this through her hair and style however she wants. It dries without becoming frizzy and holds her curls beautifully. It use to take me at 45 minutes to get through all the snarls every morning but now it’s about a 10 minute process and we are out the door to school. She can even wear her down without a pony tail for the 1st time ever without being worried it’s going to look like a Lion as she says. We get soooo many compliments on her hair now it is a true gift.

I absolutely love this product and will never ever use anything else again! I have very thick and heavy curls and am a very busy mom, when I get out of the shower I just separate my hair into sections and apply the leave in conditioner and go. Do not blow dry your hair let it air dry! Takes me 10 minutes. I also use it for my daughter who is 5 and it keeps her curls locked in and no frizz.

I’m mixed black/white. My hair care routine varies weekly its just terrible. I buy different products every week for my hair (expensive) with no joy. Doing my hair has been a very depressing job never knowing how its gonna turn out with nothing but disappointment. I didn’t have any stable products as nothing seemed to work & i have been fed up with it to be honest. I discovered Mixed Chicks by chance & I haven’t looked back. Black hair products are too greasy & white hair products make hair flaky & don’t hold more than half an hour for me. This product has basically saved my life please don’t stop making this product!! the ‘leave in’ doesn’t shrink my curls and brings out the best in them in every way. I like the ‘slight’ crunchiness of it altho its still soft, GENIUS! It reassures me it’s not going to shrink & it’s gonna stay exactly where it is & not shrink up. Had a friend tell me that it does not work. I’m happy I tired it for myself. Never been one to listen to other people. I have very thick hair with many textures. After wetting my hair I put this product thru my hair and my curls came thru. Love that. It was like instant the cream got it. Love that and my hair loved it too giving it shine as well. However, I had to keep rubbing it in for the cream to get into my hair otherwise it was white. This is not really a big deal for me. I did disappear after me working it in more.

I am a professional hairstylist with very curly hair. I have tried so many products, even though caucasian, have hair that is more similar to ethnic…curly and can be frizzy. Frustrated with many products that just werent giving me the curl texture I was looking for. I was at the IBS Convention at the Javitz Center in NY and the woman who was working the booth at the Mixed Chicks booth called me over, handed me samples of the deep conditioner and the leave-in. She told me to try them and how to use them. I finally tried them this week and I am blown away! My curls are gorgeous ringlets…no frizz….love these products. Want to carry them in my salon. In real estate, time is everything. As a busy investor, my schedule doesn’t allow an hour to do my hair. Mixed Chicks takes 10 minutes, yielding great results! I apply the leave-in & let it air-dry going out the door! After using the trial-size, I was hooked and bought the set. Recently, I was out of everything but found a salon that carries it. I bought the liter size leave-in, put some of it in a smaller bottle mixed with some water. It goes a long way. This product is slammin….I love what it does for my locks!

I never write reviews, but for this I had to! Being mixed Ive always had to use 3-4 products in my hair ( leave in, styler, oil, and at times even hairspray just to get some volume AND using a diffuser) This is the ONLY product that my curls look amazing just by using it alone and letting it air dry. The first day I used it I started getting complements on the difference.

My curls look very pretty with the leave in, but it’s sticky . I can probably use it, but will have to combine it with other stuff. I’m not sure what will take away the stickiness, but I my curls are great.

So, 11 of my sorority sisters and myself (12 total) had a sleepover this past weekend. We had purchased two of the big liter bottles of the leave in conditioner previously and distributed it amongst all of us to use for a period of two weeks. The results were as follows: 3 girls loved the product 3 girls said it was good 4 girls said it was just ok 2 girls did not like the conditioner All of us have differing curls and waves and our races are also mixed. We have one girl who is mixed black/puerto rican, two dominican ladies, one black/irish, another black/native american/french, two french, one white/black, 3 blacks, and I am black/asian. With so many different ethnicities trying the product we were bound to get varying results. After two weeks of trying the product in different ways we all concluded the following: Pros *curl pattern is defined *conditioner smells really good *conditioner also does not weigh the hair down Cons *the conditioner dries extremely hard regardless of how much/little is used *finish is kind of dull/matte *is kind of flaky *some kind of coating (we think the emulsified wax) *dried out hair (not everyone’s, but over half) Conclusion Not a bad product. Not a wonderful product. It’s in the middle, but leans more toward better than bad. It’s a good product if you add things to it like gels or oils or sheens/glosses, but on its own we wanted to give it 3.5 stars overall. Unfortunately we weren’t able to give a half rating and didn’t feel that 4 stars would have been a truthful rating based on all of our experiences. We all put a number in a hat and then took the average of those numbers to get approximately 3.5. While the conditioner did dry hard, we saw through other reviews that we should rub our hands through our hair to break up the “crunch.” This did work, but unfortunately loosed the hold of the curls :( and created more frizz for us (the ladies mixed with french and irish and the black/white girl did not like that collectively – they had more frizz than the rest of us). Some of us would recommend it and some of us wouldn’t. It just depends on what type of hair you have. In looking through all of the videos and tutorials this product looks like it works a little better on Wendi’s hair than on Kim’s.

I’ve used a lot of products and thought that based on all the wonderful reviews this would be a pretty good conditioner. But this dries SO hard and is flaky when adding some for touch ups. That totally sucks because the hold isn’t all that great so you need some for touch ups. Was shocked my frizz wasn’t kept in balance like I’d hoped for. It does a good job defining the curls, but unfortunately it doesn’t last long.

This product was good, but at the same time my frizz increased and the hold wasn’t all that great, i still have to use a little gel, but it does make my hair super soft, and i don’t have that crunchy feeling anymore. overall the Product does greatly help.I’m hooked.. i have a picture were the mixed chicks leave-in is in my hair, and the curls look amazing.

I’ve tried many leave-in conditioners, but none as great as Mixed Chicks! I found this product in 2011 and have been using it faithfully since. Easy to use, love the fact that it’s lightweight and smells fresh & clean. My very curly hair has never looked better!

This by far the best thing for very frizzy, curly, biracial hair. I can finally wear my natural curls without having to worry about them frizzing up. A stiff wind can blow, and the curls bounce right back into place. I very rarely straighten my hair now and the health of it is so much better because of it! My hair has grown halfway down my back and it has never been healthy enough to do so! (Always trimming split ends.) I use the shampoo, conditioner, and leave-in conditioner. My hair can last up to 4 days without having to do anything with it. My only negative is that it is a little pricey and I am constantly buying samples to give to friends because I believe in the product that much! I am also glad that it is becoming available at many Targets around me!

I went from using three different products for styling my hair to just one. I like my curls to be defined and what works for me is to cumb my curls once I apply the product. I know for most people with curly hair this is a no-no, but this way I make sure the product is distributed evenly throughout my hair. It will take more than a comb to make my ringlet curls go away anyway. I can’t believe how good they look with only ONE product!
