Definition & frizz control for curly/wavy:
1. apply leave-in conditioner to wet hair, scrunch
2. wring hair out with fingers
3. air dry, or if you are in a hurry, sit under a hooded dryer or use a diffuser (no towel or blow-dry needed)
An easy routine for straight:
1. shampoo and rinse
2. condition, comb or brush, and rinse
3. apply Mixed Chicks straightening serum or a little leave-in to damp hair
4. blow-dry
5. use a flat iron or another styling accessory
6. finish with hair silk for added shine
USE THIS TO: TAME FRIZZ and DEFINE CURLS on many hair textures & weaves (synthetic or human).
SALON PROFESSIONAL SECRET: while it is best to air dry with this product, some people like a diffused blow dryer on low heat for added volume.
Some like to do a two-strand twist with leave-in, on wet hair, then air dry for a great look!

I have used every product on the market. I am mixed (black/white). My hair is extremely thick and extremely curly. This product is a godsend because I never liked wearing my hair out. I felt extremely self-conscious about wearing my hair out because my hair tends to draw up and frizz out. My hair is past my shoulders straight but just at my shoulders when curly. But because of my face is full, I would tend not to wear my hair down and feel like I don’t look good. But I have started doing research on going natural and I love it. I have since cut off my ends from the chemicals. I only shampoo my scalp with a sulfate free shampoo twice a week. Then I deep condition and use this leave-in product. I find my hair looks the best after I shower in the morning and I leave the conditioner in my hair and then I put the leave in conditioner in as well. Then the next day, I just wet it a little and add a little more. And I am set to go.

I am mourning the devastating loss of my beautiful, springy, perfect 3B/3C curls due to a coloring process gone wrong. The coloring process had a relaxer type effect, and now my hair is part straight, part curly, part wavy and ALL frizzy :-( This is the first product that I have tried that has given me hope. After using Mixed Chicks the very first time my waves and curls were much more defined, shiny and soft. I have very thick hair, so I section it off, apply from root to tip, and then diffuse my hair with a blow-dryer on low heat. I’m slowly but surely cutting the damage off, and I LOVE the way my virgin hair responds to the product. Once I’ve grown this mess out, I know my hair is going to look AMAZING. I am a white women with thick curly hair. My hairdresser introduced me to the leave in conditioner and I fell in love. I have been giving out samples of my own bottle to friends to try and they are hooked too. The leave in is very easy to use. I pull my hair in a loose pony at night then spritz and run my fingers through it in the morning to style. It lasts for about 3 days and I don’t have to use any other products (ie. moose, gel, anti frizz) with it. The curls are loose, but controlled and soft. After all these years I have finally found a product that works and feels good in my hair. I flat iron my hair much less now that I have a product that makes my curls spring to life. Thank you!!!!

I bought the shampoo, conditioner, and deep conditioner about a month ago and I use it daily. I just recently ran out of the leave-in conditioner but they work wonderfully for my hair. The only thing is that my hair gets really frizzy and I don’t have any of the products that control frizz just yet. Also, my hair is really spongy, my curls draw into my scalp really tight when my hair dries. It would be nice if they could create a product that lengthens your curls. If that makes sense, like something that would help loosen tight curls. Just a few friendly suggestions. Other than that I am thoroughly pleased with these products and I’m glad I picked up that magazine at work that day! :)

I have been in search of a product for my bi-racial nieces and decided to be the tester first. I am African American with naturally soft tight curly hair and my niece has a little of that side of the family. I noticed after the first use my curls were more defined and spiraled which I like very much. The tightness of the curl was loosened but not as much as I would have liked. I will continue using the shampoo and conditioner with some of the other products I use. The one con is that I do not wash my hair daily and I would rather have a styling product than a leave in conditioner which will leave build up on the hair. One improvement – the product label, it’s nice but a little blah. It does not stand out amongst the other products and maybe that was purposeful. I am still a fan and will be buying the product for my nieces.

I am white and my seven year old daughter is biracial with very textured, tight, curly hair. Needless to say it has been a bit of a learning curve for me. I spend more money on her hair products than I do on my own and still seem to have been in constant search of something that works better. I love for her to wear her hair down but it is so difficult when it is this thick and curly that it would soon lead to a matted head of hair OR in order for it to stay curly (not frizzy) it would look wet and greasy. Until I tried your products that is… We use the shampoo, Leave in conditioner and the shine/detangle serum. I don’t know how we ever got along before this product. I now wet her hair every morning apply some leave in conditioner and shine serum brush it through her hair and Voila! her hair dries into beautiful frizz free non-greasy curls. (not to mention our brushing process has lost much of the time and tears that used to go with it) I am in LOVE with this product and could not recommend it enough. Thank you for ending my search!!!!

I do the no-poo routine (w/o shampoo) about once a week, but even if i do shampoo when washing i use this product afterwards. It holds the curls and minimizes frizz especially if I scrunch dry (or shake dry) my hair w/ a tee shirt or soft towel. (i also use this in the morning on my dry hair…not AS effective but it does help) It does leave a crunch if you use too much product, and you have to rub it in a little to eliminate build-up. but if you use a quarter sized amount (even for very thick hair) it is just the right amount. To prevent crunch (if you’re an excess user like myself) squirt olive oil/coconut oil or another moisturizer in your hand with the leave-in conditioner and rub together before applying. This adds shine, moisture, and softness, as well as containing your luscious curls!!! I will continue to purchase this product been using it for 6months now and I just LOVE it! I have recommended it to all my friends b/c of the price, quality, and convenience.

I’ve been using this product for 3+ years after accidently finding it online. I ordered the leave-in conditioner and I couldn’t beleive how well it worked for my hair. I section my hair in four, add the conditioner starting 2-3 inches away from the roots (else it gets flat and lose volume), run my fingers and bounce my curls up/down, and it’s set. Once my hair dries it doesn’t look sticky and my curls look healthy and lively. I tried others to compare but I have yet to find a competitor. And with Miami’s humidity you NEED the best curly hair product you can get. Plus it’s not that expensive compared to others. I’m sticking with this one.

I’m an african asian american i have mostly type 3c and some 3b hair that has never been treated before. I just started using this product after a recommendation from one of my friends. I did my research on this item and saw lots of excellent feedback and rarely saw any negative responses. I use a separate shampoo and conditioner that i already enjoy. I was able to get the leave in samples from my local beauty salon just to try it out and not spend so much money. once out of the shower I squeeze the excess water out, divide my wet hair into four sections, and apply. Once all four sections are applied I put a little oil (I prefer Argan oil) while it’s still damp. On the first use I saw a little difference but the more I used it the better!!!! So basically I believe this is a great product!!!

Harry Potter was described as having hair that “stuck out everywhere,” which was the story of my life. I had curls as a baby and wondered if I could get them back. I decided to try Mixed Chicks and voila! I am now known for my curly-wavy hair and get compliments. It’s a wonderful product for “Jewish” hair. I probably use a little less than those with very curly hair — about the size of nickel — and work it through well. That’s it! I’m going to order the men’s version for my son to tame his dry, frizzy jewfro.
