- apply leave-in conditioner to wet hair, scrunch
- wring hair out with fingers
- air dry, or if you are in a hurry, sit under a hooded dryer or use a diffuser (no towel or blow-dry needed)
An easy routine for straight:
- shampoo and rinse
- condition, comb or brush, and rinse
- apply Mixed Chicks straightening serum or a little leave-in to damp hair
- blow-dry
- use a flat iron or another styling accessory
- finish with hair silk for added shine

This stuff is great! I am white, but have thick curly hair which seriously needs taming!! Works wonderfully in wet newly washed hair but isn’t as great for a morning smooth down in dry hair inbetween washing….

I am an african american woman that is constantly getting asked if I am of mixed heritage b/c of my naturally curly hair….I have type 3b hair in the front and 3c type hair in the back of my head. I recently decided to embrace my naturally curly hair after years of getting it relaxed. I do currently use another product for my shampoo/conditioner b/c it’s been working really well for me but I added the mixed chicks Leave-in conditioner to my routine…and it definitely cut out about 3 other products I was kinda mixing together in the am. I just wash and condition, then apply the Mixed Chicks leave-in conditioner and I am done! No more additional curly definers,anti-frizz and a gloss…the leave-in conditioner seems to handle all 3 of those aspects for me! I am planning to try out the whole 3 step Mixed Chicks treatment and see if I get better results but thus far I am very pleased with the Leave-in conditioner.

this product makes my hair feel really good. i washed my hair the day before i bought this and when i don’t straighten my hair its curly, wavy and frizzy i bought this to be able to keep the natural tone to my hair and it absolutely worked. i’m gonna try the sulfate free shampoo and conditioner next

I only wash my hair once and week and use the deep conditioner once a week. I wet my hair and put the leave in condtioner in my hair every morning. If you use too much, it will make your hair hard. Don’t apply too much on your scalp/

So i have extremly curly mixed hair,& like a lot of ppl ive tried all the products that said they “WORK”. Look NO further mixed chicks leave in cond, is all I will use from now on, Imagine getting ready in a hurry and only having to use one product that will last you ALL day! For thoes ppl who say it makes your hair “crunchy” I have your solution. I myself wash my hair twice a week shampoo once a week and after my hair is wet i squeeze out all the access water i can then apply a good amount of the leave in cond. & comb thru my hair then i appy a little olive oil of my own to make sure my curls stay soft (every other time)so its not crunchy, this combination of just two products. Work amazing it turns my huge puff into a smooth sleek define curls and it creates that “wet look” a lot of ppl try to achive. my one con i would say is it does dry your hair just a little but with the olive oil i use it protects that! yaaaaay to curly hair, I LOVE MINE! :)

I use this every day after I’ve washed and conditioned my hair in the shower. I love that it’s not a heavy product, quick and easy to use, and I don’t have to use 2 or 3 different products after washing my hair, just to get it to hold my curls in an attempt to avoid the “frizzies.”

First of all let me say thank you MixedChicks for this product… I used to spend at least $80 every couple of months on hair products. My hair is curly, but like curly hair, it mainly needs conditioner. The best way I use the leave-in conditioner is after I get out of the shower each morning my hair is a little misty wet and then I just rub the leave-in conditioner through out layers in my hair and my curls are amazing once air dried! And it doesn’t take long to air dry because my hair was only misty wet. They hold is awesome. I find my hands out of my curls alot. Even when I wake up the next day they are soft and not matted up like some products used to make my hair. No more going to the bathroom to run water in my hair any more! I love it! I feel like a beautiful princess walking with beautiful hair! Better than most models curls! And I mention this product to everyone, especially my mixed students moms. I loves it!

I have used many products over the years. I used to hate my curl, a couple of years ago i decided to embrace my natural hair. I have used many products. Always on the search for the perfect product. Just recently, a client of mine, at the salon i work at, told me she had tried this product and thought it would be perfect for my hair. Im a 36 year old African American Woman. Ive been wearing my hair Natural since I was 18. My Best friend has been using this product for a month now. And has been extremly happy with the product. It has remarkable results for her both when curled or straightened. But I was skeptical because I have never used a leave in conditioner that has worked for me. Everything makes my hair feel Yucky for the lack of a better word. I’ve found that the less expensive products like Suave, etc.. worked best for me. But, I would have alot of breakage. I tried the Mixed Chicks leave in conditioner this morning and I see a 100% diference!! My hair feels wonderful :-) I plan to hit the beauty store after work! I just want healthy feel good hair.

I recently bought this (along with the shampoo & deep conditioner and gloss) at a beauty supply store (paid alot more there than on here, won’t do that again) and I love it. I have combo 3c & 4a (only along hairline on forehead) hair so I deal with not only frizz but dryness also. My hair is shiny, healthy looking and can really see the curls where as before with other products my hair looked real coarse/kinky. The only thing is that my hair shrinks after a while but still no frizz once I go outside. Other than that I love it! Mixed Chicks (which I am a Mixed Chick ha ha) where have you been all of my life?!

I could never find anything to tame my frizz while letting my hair stay soft and curl freely until now. I’m surprised at how little I need to use in comparison to other products like mouse, considering I have somewhere between 3a and 3b hair almost to my rear. Using it while the hair is wet, starting at the ends, works the best, and it prevents greasiness at the roots. The light scent is nice (it reminds me of baby powder) and doesn’t clash with perfumes. Also, it holds up surprisingly well in humid weather, especially for being so light weight. The only thing that keeps this product from getting 5 stars is the price. But I’m not surprised this product costs what it does considering how much it’s able to do. Cutting back on the morning Starbucks will certainly pay for a bottle, and if you ask me, I’ll take gorgeous hair over a frappuccino any day.
