Hello everyone! I am a mixed chick (half-Greek, half-Guyanese) with crazy hair. Its thick and a similar length to Kim’s hair, but I suffer from “multi-textured hair syndrome.” The front is definitely more manageable than the middle and back. It has more of a wave curl, but there are some straight parts on the left that never want to curl. The middle of my hair is VERY thick. From the crown to the nape, my hair is like an afro but then the ends thin out (maybe that means i need a cut, idk). Then the bottom and sides are thick but have my favorite type of curls (similar to those Kim has at the bottoms of her hair). Doing my hair is a battle everyday and my girlfriend just shakes her head and says she feels sorry for me and all that hair lol. I can never find a product to hydrate my hair, control the frizz while giving it movement, and make all the curls the same. Whether that uniformity ends up being a looser or kinkier curl doesn’t really matter to me once it’s all the same. I had a lot of faith in MIXED CHICKS after reading reviews and doing research, so I went out and bought the shampoo, deep conditioner, and jumbo leave-in conditioner because if it did work, I knew I would want a lot of it on-hand. The first time I used the products, I wasn’t feeling it and I was upset. But I have given it more tries and I’m seeing different things each time. Overall, I’ve noticed that while the shampoo smells great and feels good as I put it on, my hair gets way too dry when I wash it out. I have noticed, however, that my scalp itches a million times LESS with this product and I LOVE that because I was a “chronic itcher” right in the crown area. It was so bad it was starting to thin out! MIXED CHICKS is definitely helping with that.

when I use the shampoo I dont even have to use a conditioner. Love this stuff!!! I have thick curly hair & I hate doing it everyday till I started using Mixed Chicks.I have told all the girls @ work about it. and been telling my friends & family on facebook about it too.Great job girls.

well, I would’t use this everyday. But what I like is that it cleans my hair very well. And it is a mild clarifying formula so you don’t have to worry about build up. Some people say it is to drying but I think they maybe using it to often. so bottom line it is my favorite shampoo to date.

i only shampoo once or twice a week because my hair is so dry and this is the first shampoo i have ever used that did not feel like it was drying my hair out while i was using it. it is wonderful. i wish you were around in the seventies when i was little!i am not a mixed chick,just a red head with really curly, coarse hair. thank you for these products

I bought this product for my twin daughters that are mixed chicks. I am not a mixed chick but am African American with Natural hair. Needless to say my hair is very curly and can be out of control. I’ve broken a few combs trying to manage it. When I used the shampoo I instantly could feel a difference in my hair, it was softer and felt very clean as I washed it. After drying it still feels so soft and smells good too. I love this product! Can’t wait for my next purchase of all liters for all the products. With three chicks in the house this stuff is going to go fast!!!

My 6 year old Daughter’s nationality is Polish, Russian, Italian, & Irish. No other shampoo performs as well on her wavy, thick hair. We don’t even need the conditioner! Plus in the summer we air dry and it comes out smooth, shiny and no frizz.

Usually I would have a hard time with shampoo’s but this one was gentle on contact. I had to look at the bottle again because it felt more like a conditioner yet it cleaned my hair very well. After one use I knew I was hooked.

I have been using this product exclusively together with the Deep Conditioner and Leave-in Conditioner for a year-and-a-half now. I can honestly say, after 54 years of dealing with very thick, very curly, uncontrollably frizzy hair, these products have made all the difference in the world. A friend of mine gave me a small amount of her shampoo by Mixed Chicks, so I just wanted to come to your site and say, I was totally in love with it. I only have to wash one time enstead of two like I usually do with other products. It washes thourghaly wich is nice because honstly I can’t afford this wonderful products. But for the one who can, it’s a must buy any time you have the chance. I would love to use the leave in conditioner one day. It’s on my “save money” to try list. I have curly hair so I know it would work nice because I have seen others. I was hesitant to go natural for a long time. I got the sample size of the regular shampoo and conditioner and was concerned that it may leave my hair greasy as I don’t have corse hair just a lot of thick wavy hair. Boy was I wrong … This product left my hair noticeably softer and made blow drying it all that much easier. Can’t wait to go to buy the full size of the products !
