Hi, my name is Leigha and I recently got the chance to try the new Mixed Chicks 2017 line. I must say, it has transformed my curls in just the couple weeks I’ve been using it. So, let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am 22 years old and mixed with black and white. When I was about 8 years old I started to live with my grandparents. I had to learn how to style my hair and find products on my own and I was clueless. My grandma had no idea what to do either so I started using what she used on her hair; moose, hairspray and occasionally some type of moisturizer. Once I got to the age of 13 I started straightening my hair every day for about 3 or 4 years until I got tired of doing it every day. I didn’t start embracing my curls until about 2 years ago. Six months ago I decided to go lighter which required me to bleach my hair. A couple months later I started realizing it had damaged my curls (more than they already were) and I needed to do something about it. Now I am on a hair journey and would like to transform my hair completely. It’s time for me to learn the “right way” of moisturizing my hair and taking care of it.

My goal is to revive my curls so that they can be in their natural state and how they were when I was a child (before all the heat and bleaching). I now have a little girl and it is important for me to take care of her hair so that she knows how to do it and will know which products work best for her when the time comes. I don’t want her to have a late start like I did. I have been watching Youtubers to help transform our curls and to learn how to do protective styles. The first thing I did was start off with a fresh cut because my ends wouldn’t curl from all the dead ends. I then started out with using Mixed Chicks which is the first complete line I have tried. My favorites were the Daily Hair Dress and the Coil, Kink & Curl Styling Cream. These two products help tame my fizz and have a light hold on my curls. After using these products my curls look healthy and moisturized. I plan on trying other brands so that I have something to compare Mixed Chicks to but I will say I’m happy with the results the Mixed Chicks 2017 line have given me. I did a video to show you the texture of my hair and my results using Mixed Chicks. I hope this helps you decide if Mixed Chicks is right for you. Welcome to the beginning of my hair journey, enjoy
