What has your experience been with the Mixed Chicks products?
Unlike some products the results with Mixed Chicks are always consistent and leave my hair feeling healthy.
What makes them different than other hair/beauty products you tried in the past?
I use Mixed Chicks every day and my hair doesn’t feel weighed down or oily – it’s the perfect ingredient for my hair care routine.
Do you have a Go-To or token Mixed Chick Product you cannot go without?
Oh no please don’t make me choose! I use both the Leave-In Conditioner and Deep Conditioner religiously.
How has having a product specifically for your cultural/biracial/ethnic/multiracial background impacted your beauty regime?
It’s made things really easy, before finding the right balance I used to think you needed a whole shelf of products to get healthy hair. Mixed Chicks has made me realize less is more and you can still get defined curls without buying the whole of the internet.
How do your curls/hair texture represent your cultural/ethnic background?
My mum is Indian and my dad is Bajan. The definition in my curls is from my dad whereas the thickness and fullness of my hair is from my mum. If you are familiar with different texture types then it’s probably best for me to that my hair is a mixture of 3b & 3c curls. It has been hard at times trying to find hair products that can control my curls without being too harsh on my hair and scalp.
What is one feature of the Mixed Chicks brand that empowers your hair/beauty care?
Girrrrrl, it allows me to embrace my natural hair all day every day!
If you could define Your Hair Story in one word what would it be?
Beautiful!
Why is the hair revolution celebrating natural/healthy hair types vital for our generation?
It’s so important! I think sometimes we choose to go with the easy option or what we think people prefer to see. How many times have you been asked “Why don’t you straighten it?”.Curly hair is versatile, so you definitely rock it when it’s straightened but don’t forget you’re naturally beautiful!
