My Hair Evolution: How Your Styling Game Has Evolved- Mishele Perkins

IMG_3301

Since being a newly natural (about 2 years) I’ve been through product after product trying to find something that works for my curly hair. I need something that was going to define my curls and make the POP! For me a good style starts in the shower. What you wash and condition with is KEY. Im a huge fan of co-washing & I know from the second I put the Co-Wash on my hair if its going to work for my hair or not. For my hair the Co- Wash needs to be THICK and have a lot of slip. Mixed Chicks Conditioning Cleansing Co-Wash was exactly what my hair needed. It was so thin and creamy and a little goes a LONG way. I’ve noticed that my hair has to be completely moisturized and curls must be defined before I attempt to put a styling gel on it or else its not going to turn out they way I would like. After fully detangling and rinsing my hair I went in with Mixed Chicks Coil, Kinks, & Waves Styling Cream, layered with the Curl Sculptor and finished off with the Styling Gel. Those 3 products laid on top of each other worked so well for my hair. My hair was shiny, my curls were popping and most of all my hair didn’t feel weighed down at all. I styled my edges with the Slick Styling Tamer and my edges stayed in place all day and all night without feeling dry or sticky. I think I’ve found my new curly hair regimen!  Depending on the products it has been hard for me to keep my curls defined for the next couple of days, however; with the Morning After Redefining Foam my hair looked just as good as it did on the first day. I have gotten so many compliments on my hair. I will be using these products on my hair  forever!
