What does being (“Mixed”/ Multiracial/Bi-racial/ a Minority) mean to you in 2017?
Being mixed in 2017 I still get asked “What are you?” or “You don’t look black/white?”. Being mixed means that society still forces you to choose which “side” you prefer or how you should look and act based upon your ethnic makeup.
What being mixed really means to me is that I have the honor of showcasing how multiple races perfectly blend together to create the amazing person that I am. I also have the power and personal platform to help put an end to the “mixed” stereotypes. Being mixed in 2017 allows me to experience life through more than one point of view and that I will not be defined by the boxes that others construct for me.
Who inspires your beauty routine? How does it incorporate into your personal style?
My beauty routine is inspired by other amazing bloggers on social media! Their dedication to health and beauty motivates me to take better care of myself; especially my hair, skin and overall health.
Why is your go-to Mixed Chicks product essential for your hair regime?
My go-to Mixed Chicks product that is essential for my hair regime is the Deep Conditioner!
How do your curls/hair texture represent your cultural/ethnic background?
My curl texture represents my parents and how their hair textures combined to create what I now call my own. My Mother has a finer hair texture that is slightly wavy and light. My father has a kinky texture that is thick and coily. Together they combined to create my curls! It is a blend of textures that is uniquely mine.
What is one feature of the Mixed Chicks brand that empowers your hair/beauty care?

Which haircare trend are you excited to try this season?
I am excited to try the flexi rod twist-out style. I’ve seen a lot of tutorials and reviews by lots of curly girls. I’ve tried rollers in the past with not much success but I’m excited to give this trend a try!
What’s your Go-to Fall Hairstyle?
My go-to fall hairstyle is wearing my curls down and out! Lots of volume and definition is what I like to go for.
What has been your favorite new Mixed Chicks product out this year?
My favorite new Mixed Chicks product is the Curl Sculptor. It leaves my hair soft and light with just the right amount of hold.

My go-to platforms for hair advice are YouTube as well as Instagram. The reviews are informative and very helpful!
