What does being (“Mixed”/ Multiracial/Bi-racial/ a Minority) mean to you in 2017?
Being Multiracial means that you don’t get routine and different is okay.
Who inspires your beauty routine? How does it incorporate into your personal style?
My Mom inspires my beauty routine. I used to love watching her get ready when I was younger. The way she always took time to look her best has allowed me to mirror her actions today.
Why is your go-to Mixed Chicks product essential for your hair regime?
I am not self-conscious about my hair looking unkempt.
How do your curls/hair texture represent your cultural/ethnic background?
My Curls represent a hug culture that is growing everyday. From Afropunk festival to curlfest where girls who look just like me are celebrating their curls.
What is one feature of the Mixed Chicks brand that empowers your hair/beauty care?
Leave-in Conditioner. When I was introduced to Mixed Chicks in 2009, this product allowed me to wear my curly hair down for the first time.
Which haircare trend are you excited to try this season?
Goddess Faux locs.
What’s your Go-to Fall Hairstyle?
Wild and free just like the wind.
Do you have any go-to beauty/hair bloggers or vloggers who inspire or help your hairstyles?
Yes, I am influenced by many public figures. I am also influenced by a lot of people I see out on NYC streets.
What has been your favorite new Mixed Chicks product out this year?
The Morning After Redefining Foam. It tames all my flyaways without me having to add water or hair gel.
